ISLAM 101: Halaqa on the Basics of Islam

There will be a new Halaqa at the MCE Mosque geared towards new Muslims and Muslims who want to learn about the foundations of Islam and the fundamentals of Tawheed (monotheism). This Halaqa will then Inshaa’Allaah move into a basic understanding of the Sharee’ah and basic matters of Fiqh (Jurisprudence) – all geared towards new Muslims or Muslims who want to renew their understanding of these concepts.

The Halaqa follows a structured curriculum and will be in English and lead inshallah by Brs. Yousuf Penney and Harith Al-Shiraida.

WHAT: ISLAM 101: The Fundamentals of Tawheed

WHO: All who are interested (BOTH brothers and sisters)

WHERE: MCE Mosque Basement (10721 86 Avenue)

WHEN: Thursdays after Ishaa Prayer (currently 8:00PM)- Starting Thursday January 7, 2010.

We implore all of our brothers and sisters to take this excellent opportunity and strive to learn the religion of Islam in an atmosphere that is inshallah non-judgmental and full of mercy and knowledge. We all strive to learn many other things and sacrifice for them and the same should be done for our religion and way of life. May Allah accept all of our good deeds and grant us the best of this world and the hereafter.
